That was the feedback from the judging panel at this year’s British Council for School Environments Awards, which last night named Isis Concepts as FF&E Supplier of the Year. The judging panel also complimented Isis on “its range and commitment to producing high quality innovative and integrated FF&E solutions to a range of challenges.”
The Oxford-based firm designs and manufactures furniture to support and inspire learning and they are passionate about improving school environments. The Isis award entry detailed projects from across the UK where its furniture had delivered agile classrooms, integrated ICT and enhanced comfort and ergonomics.
It is the first time the prestigious BCSE Awards have included an FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) category in recognition of its importance in creating high-functioning learning environments.
Isis MD Nick Topliss was thrilled to receive the award, “What drives us, at Isis, to do what we do is the conviction that learning environments could and should work better. Whether it’s about agility, or making ICT work better, or improving comfort and ergonomics – furniture has a crucial role to play. This award shows that we are not alone in thinking that!”.
