Swiss school chooses Isis

L’École Eden, a private primary school in Veyrier on the French / Swiss border, has just opened its new premises replete with Isis furniture. The school, whose pedagogy is based on collaboration and participation, wanted flexible agile furniture that would work for small or large groups to enable the delivery of personalised learning.

John Gillingham, Isis Primary Furniture Consultant, worked with the school to explain how Isis’s t41 Individual Student Tables, Isis Wireless Power Hubs, ergonomic Newton Chairs, rake and height adjustable tR6 tables and Lamus (the fun ergonomic seat for KS1) combine to create an agile, flexible learning environment where you can change the layout to suit your lesson.

John explains Isis’s appeal, “Because we design and make our furniture we can tweak it so it’s exactly what customers want.  In this case we created a special colour palette of muted greens and browns, to reflect nature and the forest, which is what the architect was looking for.  The school also liked how solid and well-built our furniture is – they felt confident that it would last a long time.”

L’École Eden first saw Isis furniture at the BETT exhibition when they were looking for agile furniture.  They liked the overall look, functionality, materials and build quality and appointed their architect to work with Isis to plan the spaces and colour schemes.  Isis delivered the furniture to Switzerland and after a straightforward installation the classroom designs were made real.
