"IT systems in schools and Colleges today represent a very significant capital investment for us all in these cash strapped times. Yet a significant cost in this equation is often overlooked – the furniture element of total cost of equipping an ICT suite. In my view, ISIS Concepts have come up with a system with their P6, P8 and P10 Collaborative Tables and their FlipScreen units that are as beautiful as they are practical. I have been involved in IT procurement for schools for over 15 Years now, and I have never come across specialist furniture that is so robust, practical and value for money.
"Bonus Pastor built a specialist ICT Learning Discovery Centre some 4 years ago and visitors are still astonished by the stunning appearance of the room and the ‘nearly new’ look of the desks and tables – that after 4 years of almost continual use during the school day. In that time, we have only had to replace 2 chair backs! Anyone who is responsible for purchasing computer desks and chairs will appreciate what a remarkable testament that is!
"Add to this the fact that the desks give a high level of security, as all of the computers are hidden from view at the end of the day, means virtually zero theft and vandalism. So, although the desks and chairs are expensive, the Total Cost of Ownership over a 5 year period would be a small fraction of what we would have paid with conventional IT room furniture. I cannot recommend them highly enough – if you’re nearby, come and see for yourself – we welcome visitors to the College."
